Dx&Vx to leverage LG CNS's AI in developing big data platform

South Korean genetic analysis provider Dx&Vx has tapped LG CNS to co-develop a big healthcare data platform. The partnership, which is a first in South Korea, will leverage LG CNS's AI. 

Dx&Vx hosts one of the largest genomic analysis databases in South Korea. It is currently integrating AI in its drug development projects to raise success probability and enter new partnerships to expand its data services. 


FPT signs exclusive deal to distribute Nipro's blood glucose monitors in Vietnam

FPT Medicare, the healthcare arm of internet service provider FPT Telecommunications, will exclusively distribute Japanese brand Nipro's diabetes care solutions across pharmacies in Vietnam. 

According to a press statement, the exclusive distribution deal will see Nipro's blood glucose monitors delivered at affordable prices to large pharmacies like Long Chau and medical equipment stores. Nipro's companion mobile application for blood sugar monitoring will also be introduced as part of the partnership. 

Their cooperation intends to increase access to affordable high-quality blood sugar monitors and enable a growing number of diabetes patients to take control of their condition. 


Philippines opens new AI-enabled cath lab

The Philippines Department of Health has helped launch a new catheterisation laboratory in a private hospital just west of the capital Manila. 

The said facility is equipped with the GE Innova IGS 5 with the AutoRight AI feature, which enables dose personalisation and offers hemodynamics control on the table side. The DOH, along with the local government, has assisted with the acquisition of the machine for St. Joseph Hospital and Medical Center in Bataan.
